Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Collections Consolidator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This position requires strong negotiation skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts, as well as the ability to analyze accounts effectively. The Collections Consolidator will work closely with various departments to streamline the revenue cycle management process and enhance customer service.

Responsibilities


  • Negotiate payment arrangements with clients to facilitate timely collections.
  • Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Utilize financial software to track and manage accounts receivable.
  • Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the revenue cycle management team to optimize collection processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate billing and collections related to healthcare services.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable when necessary, ensuring smooth financial operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their accounts.

Qualifications


  • Proven experience in collections or accounts receivable management is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts amicably.
  • Familiarity with financial software and tools used for account analysis.
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts related to revenue cycle management.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is a plus, particularly in healthcare settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for effective account analysis.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
