Job Requirements of Phlebotomist:
JOB SUMMARY:
- Phlebotomist under the direction of the area supervisor performs phlebotomy roles of the IOP accurately & on-time
- Ensures all specimens are collected safely & maintains patient comfort
- Collects specimens according to established procedures, properly explains the process of venipuncture (blood drawing) and other specimen collection.
- Reduces patient anxiety by providing a calm environment for patients before, during and after the collection process.
- Disposes of blood or other biohazard fluids or tissue properly.
- Completes requisitions accurately.
- Enters patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer.
- Requires attention to detail to maintain high level of accuracy.
- Communicate with clients to confirm handwritten orders, verify test(s) ordered, obtain accurate billing information, i.e.
diagnosis codes, UPIN information, etc. - Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order - Maintains required records and documentation.
- Maintains daily records and all appropriate PSC/IOP Phlebotomy logs.
- Utilizes time appropriately.
Capable of maintaining fluctuating patient flow. - Displays courteous and professional behavior to clients, patients, and co-workers.
Communicates in a way that promotes a harmonious, cooperative environment. - Performs duties in independent manner.

Phlebotomist
Full-time Phlebotomist - Blairsville, GA
Full-time need open for an e xperienced Phlebotomist ( CPT Preferred) with at least 5 year's prior experience and an average of up to 40 sticks/day, to join as a permanent & full-time (FT) part of our IOP team providing specimen collection and patient care in Blairsville, GA.
Pay is granted based on experience (the more the better!), with immediate Benefits upon start

SHIFT: Mon to Fri, 8a - 5p
PAYRANGE: ( based on experience) $20.09/hr - $23.00/hr
OTHER PAY: Quarterly Bonus, Tuition Assistance
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS :
- At least 5 (FIVE) year's of current, recent Phlebotomy experience.
- Able to provide 40 sticks per day comfortably & confidently.
- Tenure of at least 2-3 years within prior role
- Reliable transportation
- Medical training as Phlebotomist
EDUCATION & LICENSURE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy Certification (CPT) preferred
