Sr. Payroll Specialist
Senior Payroll Specialist
Position Purpose:
The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing and executing all administrative tasks related to payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage biweekly and weekly payrolls from start to finish.

Accurately enter and maintain payroll data in Paycom HRIS, including direct deposits, salary adjustments, hours worked, PTO, bonuses, reimbursements, and deductions.

Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Process new hire paperwork, ensuring accurate and complete employee records.

Handle employment verifications.

Generate and distribute biweekly payroll reports covering gross pay, deductions, and taxes.

Review W-2 statements for accuracy and compliance.

Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies related to timekeeping, deductions, and employee information.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance. Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in payroll processing and HRIS systems, particularly Paycom.

Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and tax compliance.

High level of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Advanced technical skills, including experience with payroll software and Microsoft Office.
