Highly-established & award winning Dermatology practice in Rockville currently needing a team-oriented, FT Dermatology experienced Medical Assistant to join our tight-knit team in Rockville, MD. Seeking a Clinical Dermatology Medical Assistant with 2 years of recent experience within a Dermatology Clinic, assisting Physicians with all Clinical/Surgical Procedures. Looking for an MA to start ASAP to provide essential support to our Physicians- Starts with immediate Benefits (full list below)

START: ASAP (1 - 2 weeks)

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Clinical Dermatology experienced MA or CMA
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience within a Dermatology Clinic
• Proficiency in providing Clinical procedure assistance:
• i.e. Suture removal, Skin Biopsies, Keloid treatment, Cyst removal, skin-tag removal, mole removal, specimen collection, Prior-Auth, Prescription Refill, prepare and administer medication
• *Assist with all surgical Dermatological procedures
• EMR System 'EMA' preferred

PAYRATE: $24.09/hr - $27.89/hr- Granted based on experience, the more you have, the better!

SHIFT: Mon to Fri, 8a - 5p (Full-time, 40 hours/week guaranteed)

CLINICAL DERMATOLOGY MA RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with all surgical Dermatological procedures
• Prepare and administer medications
• Collect blood, tissue, & laboratory specimens, log & prepare for testing.
• Record patients' medical history, medications, allergies, vitals in EMR.
• Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to preparing for treatment
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, wound care, and Pre & Post-Op physicians' instructions to patients.
• Examine & treat patients, hand instruments, provide injections, remove sutures.
• Authorize drug refills, provide prescription information to pharmacies
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Inspects sterile items, lay supplies out on sterile field
• Assist physician with surgical procedure while maintaining sterile field
• Assess patients condition throughout exam, procedure or surgery
